Apple recently released the iOS 17.5 beta. The new iOS update brings a new feature that will alert the user to tracking devices other than AirTag.

Apple and Google announced last year that they would create a new universal system that will detect and warn iOS and Android users about unwanted tracking accessories. As part of this, iOS 17.5 will detect and alert tracking accessories that follow the user.

iOS will be able to identify tracking accessories and help the user disable them, even if they are not Apple or Find My certified. iPhone says, “You can disable this item and prevent it from sharing its location with its owner. To do this, follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer of this item on a website.” will warn.

This feature is not active for now, but will be available with the release of iOS 17.5 update. Apple will release the iOS 17.5 update in May.
